  Milton Keynes Council:

Tony Evans

"I first joined Olney Town Council in 1980 as a result of being chair of the “Olney Airport Resistance Association” during the two years fighting the threat of a third London airport in Yardley Chase.

In my 30 years on the Council I have been closely involved with the Recreational Facilities and have chaired the Recs & Services Committee for many years.

As chair of The Olney Centre Committee I helped Olney refurbish and develop the old school for our community centre.

I am chair of “Trustee of the Ann Hopkins Almshouses Trust”, a member of the Parochial Church Council of the parish church, a vice president and past chair of Olney Rugby Club and committee member of the Cowper & Newton Society.  I have lived and farmed at Olney Park for over 40 years."
