I was born in Solihull, West Midlands and have lived in Manchester, Leigh on Sea, London and Croydon in Surrey and have been a resident in Olney since July 1st 2006, although I have been a regular visitor to Olney since 1970's.
I have now retired after having always worked in the Foodservice Industry and having my own Foodservice Consultancy Company and had been a consultant since 1992, providing management advice to several sectors of the industry.
I previously worked for Marks and Spencer, which included managing the staff catering operations in stores and Head Office, where I managed large teams of staff of several nationalities.
As a past Chair of the Europe-Africa-Middle East Division of FCSI (Foodservice Consultants Society International) and past Chair and Council Member of ACE (Association of Catering Excellence), I was involved in voluntary leadership work dealing with senior personnel from various countries and planning events and conferences in the UK and internationally.
Since moving to Olney I have been an active member of NAG and I am now the Town Council Representative and have also assisted with the co-ordination of the Cherry Fair for the Church.
I like to be an approachable person who wants to listen and help where possible to improve situations and follow matters through until the goals are achieved in an acceptable manner.
I was awarded an MBE in 2012 for the voluntary work I have done in the Foodservice Industry
