I am a highly experienced Business Consultant and have recently retired after a long career in industry and commerce. This included the role of Head of Information Technology for a large, prestigious manufacturer and retailer, and being a Senior Business Consultant working for a major computer system / business transformation company. I have worked on and managed large projects in England, Germany,Holland and Denmark.
I have worked as an independent business consultant (or ‘Business Doctor’) for numerous medium/large size companies in the manufacturing, retail, leisure and hospitality sectors. This work involved looking critically at business processes and the associated IT systems – and recommending business change to improve performance and efficiency.
I have been a resident of Olney for nearly 40 years. I have been a member of Newport Pagnell and Olney Lions Club for over 35 years and have served in the role of Treasurer and President for a good few of those years. I am the current President and have led the club through a number of difficult changes including GDPR, ICO and migrating the club to become a Registered Charity. I am comfortable and proficient, in chairing the club’s regular business meetings.
I am also the Chairman of the Olney Youth Centre Management Committee and have worked with the team to turn the Centre around – having built bridges with disillusioned customers, recovering bad debts, re-activated the centre’s computer systems, re-acquired lapsed Statutory Compliance, etc. - and negotiated a new 5-year Lease Agreement with MK Council.
My experience in business processes, change management and ‘best practice’, is highly relevant and allows me “to know what good looks like!” It means i am very well-equipped to bring about the necessary cultural and systemic changes.
