A referendum relating to the adoption of the Olney Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday 6th July 2017.
The question which was asked in the Referendum was:
“Do you want Milton Keynes Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Olney to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?“
The result of the referendum was Yes – 991 No – 968
Following approval of the plan in the referendum, at their meeting on 19 July 2017, Milton Keynes Council formally made the Olney Neighbourhood Plan part of the Development Plan for Milton Keynes meaning that it will be a material consideration when deciding development proposals within the area covered by the Plan.
